Connecting geodata, software development and 3D technologies
My main areas of expertise are Python, PostGIS, Blender, QGIS, FME, data conversion, spatial analysis and the high-performance processing of large geospatial datasets. With several years of experience in system administration, I can not only develop prototype solutions but also package, deploy and operate them in a reliable technical environment.
My background includes a bachelor's degree in Geographical Sciences with a focus on geoinformatics and remote sensing, further professional training as a GIS Analyst, and several years of experience in web and system administration as well as public geospatial data infrastructures.
Machine learning and open technologies
I also work with machine learning for spatial and image-based tasks. This includes prototype model training and evaluation as well as integrating image and object detection into GIS, Python and 3D workflows.
I use open-source technologies and open standards deliberately to create solutions that are transparent, verifiable and suitable for long-term development.
How I work
My approach is analytical, solution-oriented and experimental. I structure complex problems, turn initial ideas into testable prototypes, investigate different approaches and develop suitable concepts into robust, documented and practically usable applications.
I am particularly interested in projects that combine geodata, software development, 3D technologies, machine learning and automation to create innovative, robust and practically useful solutions.
